Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembler III-1st Shift at our El Paso, TX location! The core hours for this shift are 7:00 am - 3:45 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $18.39 per hour. Perform assembly required for testing preparation and final inspection. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions. **In this function, you will:** - Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions and engineering drawings. - Use various tools, such as an impact gun, sidewinder, and drill to perform the assembly of switchboards. - Handle materials by following established procedures. - Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages. - Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar. - Lift 20 lbs. with reasonable accommodation as required. - Perform other functions and/or tasks as assigned - Flexing into other functions of the business - Ability to be a team player and work independently with a sense of urgency **Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications:** - No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation - Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. - 1 year of internal switchboard manufacturing experience **OR** 2 Assembler II certifications **Preferred Qualifications:** - 2+ years of assembly experience \#EPEX **Skills:** **Position Success Criteria:** - Self-driven and able to produce desired results with minimal direction. - Strong verbal and written communication, persuasion, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment. - Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. - Proficient with computers and programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint. - Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup.
