Auto Body Technician job at Friendly Chevrolet (TX) Dallas, TX, US

Job Description

Do you want to work at one of the busiest automotive dealerships in the region where your employer treats you like a member of the family. We have an immediate opening for an Auto Body Technician / Collision Repair Technician. Opportunity and position: Great opportunities for all other Collision Techs as well and we are especially interested if you have I-CAR, ASE or Paint Certifications. Responsibilities:

This position will be working the body shop with collision damaged vehicles.
Must be able to drive and operate vehicles
Examine Vehicles, diagnose and discuss the nature and extent of damages
Measurement & alignment of vehicles using Car-I-Liner frame repair equipment
Communicate additional service needs to the Estimator for communication to clients
Plan work procedures in cooperation with other staff members
Collaborate to provide labor time estimates to the Estimator
Monitor repair times and update Estimators on repair status
Maintain strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation
Complete documentation for client repairs
Wear approved safety gear when it designated safety areas
Keep on-going relevant training events
Attend department / dealership meetings

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
Minimum five years collision experience
Must have a valid State issued Drivers License and auto insurance coverage
Tearm Oriented
Flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
Working knowledge of the latest in shop equipment & technology
I-Car training a plus
