Position Summary:We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented CNC Sheet Metal Fabricator Technician to operate state-of-the-art CNC machinery and fabricate precision sheet metal components. Your craftsmanship will play a crucial role in the production of our nationally recognized signage and infrastructure systems.
Key Responsibilities:Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand detailed blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC press brakes, punch presses, laser cutters, shears, and hardware insertion equipment (e.g., TRUMPF machines).
Fabrication: Bend, shape, and assemble sheet metal components to exacting tolerances using a variety of materials (aluminum, mild steel, etc.).
Inspection: Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges for in-process and final inspections.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and quality teams to identify issues and drive continuous improvements.
Maintenance: Conduct routine machine checks and perform basic maintenance.
Safety & Organization: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times.
Tool Handling: Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and fabrication equipment confidently and safely.
2 5 years of hands-on experience in precision sheet metal fabrication .
Technical certification or vocational training in fabrication or machining (preferred).
Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and technical documents.
Strong understanding of sheet metal materials, gauges, and manufacturing techniques.
Familiarity with CNC machine operation and basic machine programming.
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Experience in aerospace, medical device, or electronics manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of CNC file management or machine interfaces.
Skills in tooling setup and changeover.
Basic computer literacy for production tracking or machine inputs.
