We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Estimator/Project Manager to join our growing excavation company. This role will be responsible for estimating, project management, scheduling, and client relations. The ideal candidate will have experience in excavation, earthwork, or civil construction and a strong ability to manage multiple projects from estimation through completion.
Responsibilities
Estimating:
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for excavation and site development projects.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates.
• Solicit and review quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify potential risks and develop strategies for cost control.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Attend pre-construction meetings and site visits as needed.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing project updates.
Project Management:
• Oversee excavation projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Manage project schedules, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, submittals, and RFIs.
• Generate and present project reports to management, detailing progress, costs, and potential risks.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to improve future estimating and project management strategies.

Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience in excavation, earthwork, or civil construction estimating and project management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment related to excavation.
• Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools such as B2W, Winex Grade, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or comparable packages.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
