Job Description

Salary Range: $29,000 – $31,500

Location: Genesis Recovery Kentucky Center Position Summary:

The Housing Manager is responsible for overseeing all rental and housing functions at the Genesis Recovery Kentucky Center, ensuring compliance with HUD Section 8 and Tax Credit housing regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Recovery Kentucky Housing procedures and will work within the Peer Led-Peer Driven Recovery Program model to promote fair and equal housing opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process HUD Section 8 leases according to procedures and training provided by HOMELAND, INC., and Pathways, Inc.

  • Manage all housing-related paperwork in accordance with HUD and KHC guidelines.

  • Utilize the KHC Management System for lease processing and housing coordination.

  • Identify and eliminate housing-related barriers to promote equal opportunity within the recovery program.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of housing-related activities.

  • Collaborate with peers and residents within a recovery-oriented, peer-driven framework.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in the official job description.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proficiency with HUD Section 8 and Tax Credit housing documentation.

  • Strong understanding of Recovery Kentucky housing procedures.

  • Experience using KHC systems and compliance tools.

  • Excellent organizational and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, respecting cultural, racial, and sexual orientation differences.

  • Proficient computer skills, including data entry and document management.

Educational and Certification Requirements:
  • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED

  • Preferred: Some college coursework or degree

  • KHC System Certification (required)

  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)

  • Recovery Dynamics Certification

Special Qualifications:
  • Experience in Peer Led, Peer Driven Recovery Program models preferred.

  • If in recovery, must have at least two (2) years of continuous sobriety and maintain an active recovery program.
