Job Description

:

We are looking for a  certified Safe School Officer  to join our team and help protect our school communities through a combination of preventive security protocols and rapid emergency response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce school security protocols.
  • Respond to emergencies and critical incidents efficiently.
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff to prevent conflicts.
  • Conduct safety drills and training exercises.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain security logs.

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Military, law enforcement, or formal security training.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of combined experience in military, law enforcement, corrections, emergency response, or security.
  • Advanced firearm and tactical training.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of emergency response protocols and incident documentation.
  • Capable of working long shifts indoors and outdoors.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Competencies:

  • Crisis management and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of school security procedures and law enforcement standards.

Licenses:

  • Must hold active D, G, DL, and CCW licenses.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Certifications:

  • Aaron Feis Guardian Safe School Officer Training Certificate.
  • Valid FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) Certification.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must pass a drug test (per s. 112.0455), psychological evaluation (Chapter 490, F.S.), and a background check.
  • Must possess own firearm, duty belt (Level 3 retention holster), and 5 magazines.
  • In-person attendance is mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
